Where to Trick-or-Treat Around Savannah: Southbridge, Ardsley Park and More

Community Guides Trisha Cook November 4, 2026

Reflecting back on this year, I felt like we need to get this out into the universe to plan for upcoming years.

Halloween plans tend to start with one question: Where should we take the kids trick-or-treating?

If you are looking around Savannah, Pooler or Richmond Hill, Southbridge and Ardsley Park deserve a place on your list. Several other communities have also appeared in local trick-or-treating guides.

But a neighborhood’s Halloween reputation is different from an organized public event. Decorations, participating homes and visitor arrangements can change each year. Here is what published local sources actually support, along with what to check before heading out.

Southbridge: A Neighborhood With Documented Halloween Enthusiasm

Southbridge belongs in this conversation. An August 2025 resident feature in Stroll Southbridge highlighted trick-or-treating as a favorite part of life in the community. More recently, Southbridge residents have posted Halloween participation notices on Nextdoor’s Treat Map. Those are individual household announcements, not a neighborhood-wide schedule.

That distinction matters when you plan your evening. Check current resident announcements, choose a manageable route and follow posted parking restrictions. A participating house does not mean every street or household is taking part.

You can check the Southbridge neighborhood page and Treat Map for resident-posted updates. Some information may require signing in.

Ardsley Park: Documented Decorations and Door-to-Door Trick-or-Treating

Ardsley Park has particularly strong local coverage for Halloween. Savannah First-Timer’s Guide documents elaborate yard displays with photographs and describes traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating in the neighborhood. Savannah Taste Experience also included Ardsley Park in its 2023 neighborhood recommendations.

For anyone who enjoys the decorations as much as the candy, the photographed Halloween displays in Ardsley Park offer a useful look at past celebrations.

Use those photos for inspiration, not as a promise that a particular display will return. Plan your crossings carefully and stay on the route you have checked rather than following a crowd across busy roads.

Savannah:

Isle of Hope, Baldwin Park and Parkside: Other Savannah Options to Check

Savannah Taste Experience’s October 2023 guide also recommended Baldwin Park and Parkside for trick-or-treating. Its coverage noted Halloween decorations in Baldwin Park and identified Parkside as the neighborhood south of Daffin Park.

Bluff Drive in the Isle of Hope Area is iconic at Halloween!

Another great Wilmington Island option is Olde Towne! Wilmington Park and Long Point arent bad either but Olde Town is iconic.

These are options to investigate if you want a neighborhood outing within Savannah. The recommendation is historical, however, and does not establish current participation, designated hours or a public event.

Before making either your destination, check recent neighborhood announcements or ask a resident about this year’s plans.

The Arbors at Godley Station: A Pooler Option

For Pooler, the same local trick-or-treating guide named The Arbors at Godley Station as an option, specifically mentioning younger children. That recommendation dates to 2023, rather than a confirmed 2026 announcement.

If you are considering The Arbors, check out Copper Village and Magnolia Drive for the most creative home decor.

A little ways up you will also find some great homes in The Highlands area.  Specifically, Savannah Highlands.

Richmond Hill: Communities With Past Local Recommendations

Buckhead East, Waterways and Richmond Hill Plantation were also named in Savannah Taste Experience’s 2023 Halloween guide. That gives families several Richmond Hill communities to research, but it does not confirm this year’s activities or visitor access.

Check directly with the relevant community before making plans. A neighborhood’s inclusion in a local article is not permission to enter a gated area or attend a resident-only event.

Prefer a Scheduled Event? Consider River Street

For a confirmed 2026 option, Savannah’s Waterfront lists Trick-or-Treat on River Street for Saturday, October 24, from 2 to 5 p.m. Participating establishments will display posters identifying candy stops.

This is merchant trick-or-treating, not a residential neighborhood route, and it takes place before Halloween night. Check the organizer’s event calendar before leaving for any updates.

Looking for More Than a Halloween Destination?

Neighborhood traditions can be one part of choosing where to live, but they should sit alongside your budget, commute, home preferences and everyday routine.  If you asked my opinion, as someone wh lives one block over from a great trick or treating community, 'm always envious and on the golf cart! Location of where you buy your home is arguably the most important consideration!

Our guide to choosing the right Savannah-area neighborhood is a good place to start. If you are considering a move, contact The Trisha Cook Team to compare communities around the way you want to live.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Southbridge a place to consider for trick-or-treating?

Yes. Published resident coverage and current resident-posted Halloween notices support including Southbridge as an option. Confirm participating homes and current neighborhood guidance rather than assuming there is a community-wide event.

Where can we find Halloween decorations in Savannah?

Ardsley Park has documented Halloween displays in local coverage, including photographs from previous years. Individual decorations and household participation can change.

Where should we look in Pooler?

The Arbors at Godley Station appeared in a 2023 local trick-or-treating guide. Check current resident announcements before making plans.

Which Richmond Hill communities have been recommended?

Buckhead East, Waterways and Richmond Hill Plantation appeared in the same historical guide. Confirm current participation and visitor access with the community.

Can anyone attend Halloween activities in a private community?

Do not assume so. Follow the community’s visitor rules and the event organizer’s instructions. Some activities may be limited to residents and their guests.

When is Trick-or-Treat on River Street in 2026?

The organizer lists Saturday, October 24, from 2 to 5 p.m. Check Savannah’s Waterfront for updates and participating businesses.
